will jump rope help lose fat?

will jumping rope everyday for 30+ mins help me lose body fat OVERALL (like everywhere and not just my legs)?

i'm 5'3 and 145lb

i've been eating healthy (no junk food ect) and drinking lots of water. and also my calorie intake is about 1200 daily.

how long will i start to notice a change? i've been doing this for almost two weeks and i still look the same.
