How early can you tell the gender?

I'll be about 12 weeks when I go to the doctors and have an ultrasound. What's the earliest you've been told the gender? Is 12 weeks too soon??

14 weeks is typically the earliest, that's how far along I was. You might be able to get a look at a nub though

They did my son at 12 weeks and easily could see he was a boy :)

11 weeks by blood test. That's too early to tell my ultrasound

They can try to predict the sex I'm 13 weeks  almost 14 and just got a ultrasound last Saturday and they predicted that it was going to be a boy but to be a little more sure 16weeks is better then if not the 100% of finding out the gender is at 5 months
