How long is it normal to bleed after getting my Mirena?

I got my Mirena two weeks ago and I'm still bleeding. I had started my period 3 days before getting it put in so I was expecting there to be blood, but not for this long! It's a pretty light flow, but it's too much for spotting. How long did it take for you guys to stop bleeding if you had any blood?

It could just be heavy spotting that's what I had. You can have spotting for 3-6 months.

I personally bleed for 6 months, I maybe had 8-10 days that I did not bleed during that time and they were not consecutive. It was terrible, I debated taking it out multiple times (a day lol) but I'm glad I did not I'm on my 4th year now and I'd say it was worth it.

I spotted for almost 6 months. I came so close to removing it but glad I stuck with it as once that stopped I didn't get a period for 8 years! Not even when I had to switch out my first Mirena after 5 years.
