Baby showers for second baby??

Question

How does everyone feel about baby showers for a second pregnancy? My second baby was unplanned as was my first and the pregnancies are very close together so our financial situation isn't the greatest. We could really use a shower but I don't know if that's being done now or not.

Iam pregnant with my second and Iam doing the baby shower it really doesn't matter what anybody thinks because at the end of the day the people who show are the ones who truly love and care those are the important ones, Iam Hispanic and honestly we throw baby showers like they are birthdays doesnt matter if it's your 10th baby , we feel that a shower is celebrating and congratulating you on your blessing ! And plus the food and games (prizes) lol 😂 it's always fun to go to a baby shower and also be the one throwing it ESPECIALLY pregnant with all the hormones it's nice to feel special and loved and knowing your family and friends are already loving and caring for the baby is the best feeling ever !!! 💕💕 and if some people think thats being "needy " or wanting "attention " well gosh you are so bitter !

If it's the same sex I'd so no. I've seen things online called a baby kegger, where families have a BBQ with friends and family and everyone brings diapers & wipes. If there was a big age gap, I'd say go for it. My sister is having a "baby sprinkle", nothing fancy, friends & family, everyone brings a dish to pass, and gifts are appreciated but not required... my mom is doing a diaper raffle for her so she'll at least have some stuff!

Im 2 months postpartum and I have a feeling I'm gonna be pregnant again really soon. (crazy, I know) ....  But, I have a daughter now... And if I were to have another girl so close... I would definitely not have a shower cause I have everything I would need.   If I had a boy.... I would really want to have a shower... But I'm still not sure... I wouldn't want people to think I'm greedy or something (even though I'm sure I'm just overthinking it)....   But if it was a boy.. I'd probably have something smaller than I had last time... I dunno... It's up to you 😊    If you're having a girl and you decide not to have a shower... Gimme your address and I'll send you lots of stuff. Lol. Seriously.

I think it depends on the age difference and if baby is a different gender. I will be having a second shower but I have 9 years between my daughter and now I am having twins.

have you heard of a baby sprinkle? basically you if you still have a lot of baby stuff from last child you have a baby sprinkle and mostly ask for bottles and pampers etc. personally I think it's fine to have a baby shower

Now they do "Baby Sprinkles" if it's your second baby and close to your first. You assume that you still have most of the baby stuff. You are able to celebrate the birth and get gifts like diapers and such but the focus is more on the mother instead. 
If it has been several years between children and you don't have baby items any more then it is ok to have a second "baby shower".
