paying drug addicted women to sterilize themselves ?

okay so this topic is kind of piggybacking off of another topic i saw where the question along the lines of "should women be punished for using drugs during pregnancy" . but recently i saw that vice did a video about a woman named barbara harris who pays drug addicts $300 to either sterilize themselves or get put on long lasting birth control . i wish i could show y'all the video . it was very thoughtfully put together . one on hand , you have mrs harris trying to stop children from being brought into the world under poor conditions . and then you have other people who disagree bc they feel she isn't tackling the root of the problem and that her efforts should be spent actually trying to help addicts . what do y'all think about this ?
