TUBES TIED AT 26?

Question

So I maybe pregnant with my 3rd and last baby, I have been going back and forth with wanting to get my tubes tied because I will only be 26(in Sept)but I feel like it would be the best idea.
So my question is "would you get your tubes tied at 26 if you knew this was gonna be your last baby?"

I would be more interested in my partner getting a vasectomy, as tubal ligation is more expensive and complicated than vasectomy with higher surgical risk.

If you've been going back and forth on whether you should do it or not then I wold say dont do it. That is something that you should be 100% positive about and have no doubt in your mind when you choose to do it

Maybe do an IUD first. That will buy you a few years until you can decide for sure.

He said no to a vasectomy because of his age.......if he thinks it's ok for you to get your tubes tied, then it looks like he thinks he'll be having babies with someone's who is not you in the future

If anything ask your SO if he would get a vasectomy. It can be reversed and it's a lot less invasive. 
Personally I would be too afraid of wanting a child in the future. 26 is young. But it's up to you.

I got my tubes tied at 25 after my second child and it's now been 6 years and no regrets. 
It's one thing the doctors make sure you are 100% ready and no doubts. They made my husband and I do a family planning apt just so he could discuss the tubal and any doubts my husband and I may have had and we had up to day I gave birth to back out. 
However I knew from day one I wanted 2 kids and a boy and girl and that's what I got so was no problem for me.

Personally at this point in my life the idea of getting my tubes tied is just not for me personally. I totally get why people do it and it is definitely a good option for some people. I personally wouldn't want to undergo surgery if I don't  necessarily have to. It would also be safer for my partner to get a visectomy if we wanted to stop having children(which don't don't at this point), getting tubes tied has more risks. 
Also, personally I do think 26 is very young to get it done. You still have a lot of life ahead of you and you may change your mind about having more kids. A better option might be looking into get a iud. Some IUDs last up to 10 years.
But it's your body your decision. Only you know what best for you and circumstance.

How sure are you? Let's put it this way, without tubal ligation you could easily be fertile for another 10-15 years. A lot can change in that time. I had my last baby at 21 but I'm not even considering tubal ligation at this point. I'm fairly certain I won't have any more children with my husband (he's 15 years older than I am so it wouldn't be fair on him) and even if we did I would want to adopt. But what if our marriage doesn't work out for sone reason. Again I doubt this will happen but I don't want to risk my chances of remarrying if the need should arise. I really don't want another child, particularly a biological one, at the moment. I doubt that that will ever change, but that's not something I'm willing to bet on.
