Does anyone know if you can go in a pool or.a hot tub while you have your period? And is it unsafe to have a tampon in because of possible absorption of chlorine?

I've never had an issue with swimming when I had a tampon. Hell Tampax has it in their commercials 😂 though I do recommend changing it immediately after you're done as it does absorb water!

Yeah I've definitely been in countless hot tubs and pools with tampons in and have never had any issue whatsoever. It's not even something I think about anymore. I usually do change it soon after I am done swimming because it will absorb some water, which can make it uncomfortable, but other than that, no issues.

Thank you ladies. I just got a hot tub and olive been avoiding going in because I wasn't sure if it would be an issue. Changing my tampon immediately after would be a definite for me anyway. Being that it's not a pool because it's much smaller, I am worried about the chlorine absorbing.
