Boy moms! My son keeps peeing outside his diaper, how can I stop it?

My son is a week old and every time he naps/sleeps at night there's a wet spot on his outfit!  I change him and most of the diaper is dry.  I've tried different diaper brands and sizes, tried pointing his penis up or down thinking that's why it's maybe getting out on the side?  Nothing is helping!  I have a girl so I've never experienced this before!  Any tips?

Maybe the diaper is too loose. I've never had that problem with my son but that may be the problem?

If it's too loose, also make sure his willy is always pointing down (and in the middle best you can) before securing the nappy :)

I agree with the other comment, diaper is probably loose or too big. I only had that problem with the luvs brand because they never fit well

Maybe loose or the type of diaper! That always happened with my son in huggies!

I found my son had this happen when he wore Huggies. So then switched to Pampers and had no problems!

try Huggins and change the size to not be too big.  I had that issue with my son   Huggies didn't leak with me but other brands did

Bigger diaper size. I had that problem but I went a size up and no more problems

Pampers swaddles are the best! Luvs never fit right on him neither did huggies. Pampers cost more but are worth it.

on the side if the diaper there are the little...frills? I guess you would call them? you have to run your finger along the inside by his legs and make sure they are sticking out. it's designed to "seal" that way. hope it helps!
