How do i get rid of lice???

How do i get rid of lice?? Today my son kept scratching his head so i checked his hair with a comb and he does have lice. I bought tea tree oil and soaked it in his hair then pulled out the most eggs i could then i washed his hair with a lice treatment and put a cap on his head for 15min then i decided to cut his hair short. I then decided to check out my hair and i found some eggs so i did the treatment on my self as well. Is there any way i can get rid of it asap?? I started washing my blankets and sheets with hot water is there anything else i can do or home remedies?? Thank you
