Go into it expecting the worst lol. I had no idea breastfeeding could be such a painful, difficult journey! I thought it was the most natural thing in the world and it would come easy for my baby and I. I was wrong! We had to work so hard for the first 4 weeks with lactation consultants but it has been the most rewarding experience! My daughter is 6 months old now and still exclusively breastfed. Your nipples will feel raw for the first few weeks but I promise it will get better if you persevere. Nipple cream from Lansinoh helps and I would also pump to give her a bottle of breastmilk once in a while to give my nipples a necessary break 😩

Only if the latch is wrong. Its not suppose to hurt at all. Be uncomfortable maybe, but not hurt.

For me it was uncomfortable in the beginning. I was told my baby had a really strong sucking reflex, though. After a few days it was completely painless

it all depends on how baby is latched,  but remember youre still sensitive from giving birth,  then when the milk fully comes in you're swollen tender and sensitive but once u get the hang of it the pain goes away,

It hurt 6 weeks for me and everytime she had a growspurt and started cluster feeding again or a new tooth came out. She has 7 teeth right now 😂
