i've had an iud for almost five months , since the 31/03/17 , when i went under a termination process , and six weeks after the surgery i was meant to go to an appointment for a check up but i missed the appointment and hadnt been able to go back to any doctors yet, ive only tried to look for the iud strings to check if its there once but didnt feel it my periods are coming through so thats good but i dont know if it was bad i missed the 6 week mark and, how should i recheck for the iud ? should i still book another doctors appointment even though its been months?

any help from personal experience or any constructive comments/thoughts welcome! :)
