So I'm 19 and still a virgin. I'm just wondering is it worth it to wait for the special person or just hook up with someone.

I'm 18 and I just recently lost it to my bf of 2 years, it's so worth waiting for. I know that no matter what happens, I will never regret waiting and losing it with him because I was 1000% comfortable with him. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a virgin, trust me I got a ton of grief in hs for not giving it up. But I'm so grateful I waited. Having a partner who cared so much about my pleasure and making sure to not cause me pain was so amazing and made me relax so much more. It's really nothing that you should feel like you have to get over with, but if the curiosity is just killing you then that's okay too, do whatever feels right for you!!❤️

Don't give your virginity to some random guy. It's a very emotional experience,  and having someone who truly cares about you makes it easier and more enjoyable. Sex should come out of love, not a want to lose your v- card. One nighters and random flings are fine,  but nothing is better than the sex you'll have with a man (Or woman) that you love.

Honestly, I would wait.. My first time was rape and then after that, it fucked me up and made me think that if I went and hooked up with guys that I was attracted to and that were attracted to me that it would somehow erase that or something.. not saying I regret all of my sexual encounters, but definitely don't just hook up with a random person at a party or on tinder or something cuz that can be dangerous and sketchy.. The good sexual experiences I've had before my current and first real boyfriend and serious relationship were two friends I met in college that were also friends with benefits.. we enjoyed pleasing each other, but we're also there for each other and actually cared about each other.. it doesn't have to necessarily be "special", but I think you should definitely wait to be with someone that you like and trust

I was raised to believe it was special and to be given to a special someone. I thought I had found that someone and they really wanted to be with me in that way so I though "why not it's what I've been taught right?" and gave it away and I regret it. I do. If it matters to you to hold onto it then don't just give it up, but if you don't mind that kind of stuff at all then just do it whenever you personally feel ready.

Honestly despite what everyone else is saying, I just did it to get it over with. I was 19 and tired of being a virgin so I said fuck it and hooked up with a friend that I knew was into me. He had asked to be friends with benefits and I was sexually frustrated so I said okay. Honestly no regrets. It was awkward and I wouldn't do it again but I have a boyfriend that is amazing so I wouldn't have to :) that being said, sex is sooo much better with someone you love. Either that or I was just dating assholes before which is entirely possible too. I personally just think that virginity is a social construct. It doesn't matter who you give it to because at the end of the day it's just another "first" you have in your life. If you feel the need to wait until you find someone special, wait. If you don't give a shit like I did, and just do it to get it over with, do that. It's your own body, it's your choice. Whatever YOU decide is the correct one.

I just recently lost mine to my boyfriend (we’ve only been dating for 2 months) but the only reason I knew I wanted to do it with him was because I’m normally very very awkward around everyone, especially guys I like. But with him, I’m comfortable. And he constantly tells me that he doesn’t wanna do anything if I’m not comfortable with it.
