Mastitis?

Question

I have a fever of 101.8, I've had a headache for the past two days, it hasn't ever bothered my boobs to BF until now, they're so sore to the touch that it hurts to feed her. I don't know what to do, I don't wanna have to stop BF but I'm at the point of giving up. I can't even go see my OB tomorrow because it's Sunday. 
Does this sound like mastitis or normal BF pains?

Antibiotics just kill the infection, you need to work out the clog. Use hot compresses, use vibration on the clog, do dangle nursing, point baby's chin toward the clog, massage the hell out of it even though it's going to hurt like crazy. I have had it twice and my little one is only 4 months. Fever and chills both times and just felt awful like I had the flu. I was able to avoid the doctor both times. La Leche League has some great information on treating it. The magic of our bodies and baby's, the infection will not harm baby as you get the clog out, baby is protected from the bacteria. Drink tons of water and just keep baby nursing, they say it's best to just stay in bed with baby and nurse away. Stopping nursing will make it worse.

It could be mastitis but I believe it's usually not both full breasts (tho I could be very wrong).  When I had it, it was one spot that was super hard and I had a fever and chills and generally felt awful, like didn't want to get off the couch or move at all for any reason. I couldn't get into my OB so I just went to my pcp and she diagnosed me.  You could probably go to an urgent care just to make sure it is that or so u can find out if it's something else. I hope you feel better soon!!

Yep, mastitis more than likely. You can go to any urgent care and they will give you proper antibiotics once you say you are nursing..... try to pump, nurse, and rest as much as possible. You essentially treat like the flu. Rest, tons of fluid and lots of massage and expressing milk
