Anyone else have a baby with colic? When did it start? How do deal?

my little guy started at about 3 weeks now he is almost 6 weeks and I don't think it's going to stop it's all day and night. he cries for hours at a time until he is tried enough to sleep for maybe an hour then he is crying again he spend more time crying then sleeping. I end up taking picture of the times he isn't crying and have to look at those for the times all I can do is leave him to cry. those picture are mostly him sleeping.

We went through this too. It could be reflux and if so, zantac works wonders. We switched formula to similac sensitive and that helped, but not enough. We discovered that the premade was too hard on his stomach, so started powder but that caused gas issues. Now we mix, leave in the fridge and the bubbles go away. Weeks 3-5 were the WORST. Hang in there and try to get help whenever you can because a colicky baby can drive you to insanity🍀

My daughter cried on and off day and night for two weeks, I switched her formula to similac sensitive and she's a completely different baby. She can't have lactose, and the formula she was on before had small amounts in it and it bugged her. I would talk to your pediatrician, and see what they suggest to do. It's definitely hard to deal with, all 4 of my kids suffered from it at some point.

I am not sure if my son has colic or is crying from possible silent reflex. But he cries a lot. Just like yr son. From what I have read it gets better st 3 months n peak is 6 weeks. My son will b 9 weeks tom n although he still has his moments r crying for hours he also is smiling, cooing, and laughing. Hang in there. Hugs 🤗

My baby it started at about 3 weeks, he used to cry for hours from 7pm to 11/12 pm. we are using a different formula, and a warn bath before bed, also I do my best to help him relax, from crying they swallow air causing gas. I burp my lil guy often, we still have our nights but it got better. mommy you are doing great I know how frustrating it can be, find what works for you and baby.

My baby cried a lot around 3 weeks too. The doctor told us that she had acid reflux. When she had it she thought she was hungry and we ended up over feeding her. She would cry while we were feeding her. The doctor prescribed Zantac, a probiotics, incline her bed, burp often, sit up at least 15 minutes after eating and similac pro sensitive formula........totally different baby now!

We go through phases of this, and still haven't figured out what causes it.
However, when my daughter gets like this, we find holding her while we are standing, and playing some David Bowie (Space Oddity, ashes to ashes, life on mars etc) while singing the songs, soothes her, and if you do it long enough, she falls asleep, then you can sit down with her.

try the Dr Browns bottles if you are bottle feeding, they reduce colic. Also there are some probiotic drops that you can give from Gerber called Soothe, you can find them at the grocery store as well as gripe water. Our Dr recommended all of the above. we also changed formula to Enfamil Gentlease from the newborn type and we noticed a significant change in just one or two days. she spits up less too. I've read that its best to leave them slightly inclined after feeding, so we added a very slight incline to her bassinet. all of the above helped us!
