I have now had 4 miscarriages. I was put on progesterone this time and told to take it twice a day. Finally held onto this baby long enough to have my first appointment and ultra sound. the baby looked great with great heartbeat and measured 7 weeks 4 days! when I went to refill my progesterone the pharmacy said I couldn't fill it with insurance for 2 more weeks, that the bottle said to take once a day. A doctor at that practice that I had never even met is the one that filled it. I filled a partial prescription without insurance and called the office. I was told that different doctors do different things. and that I was fine to take 1 a day, essentially going from 400mg to 200mg a day. I was nervous and talked to someone again at the office a couple of days later, and was assured that it was fine. so that is what I did. 200mg a day from then on. at our next appointment 2 weeks later, I should have been 10 weeks 5 day, there was no heartbeat. they told me the baby was only measuring 8 weeks 5 days. that just happens to be when I lowered my progesterone. could this have caused my miscarriage??
