At what age do you think it's appropriate to take your child to Disney?

My parents waited to take my siblings and I go Disney until I was 8 (I'm the baby). Because we wanted to be able to go on rides and have each kid remember the experience. I think it was a good choice.

I took my LO at 9 months and again at a year, but we live in CA so it's not such a big deal for us. She loves it every time we go. Even though she won't remember, we have plenty of pictures, and that thought process doesn't stop us from wanting to have more experiences with her.

Personally I think it's a waste of money to take too young - because they won't fully remember or enjoy it. But that's just my opinion. We took my nephew at age 5 and I was just asking him about it the other day (he's 10 now) and he doesn't remember it. You should definitely take your kiddo whenever you think it's time.

I love, love, love Disney and can't wait to take my kids to disney. (dreaming big only 8 weeks with my first) 
I think they will really appreciate it more after 3. they really can start remembering things better, and will enjoy parades, rides, food ect. plus it will be a little easier on you. it also depends on who is going, like if I could get my mom to come I would take my child if they were younger. she doesn't go on rides and would be just as happy sitting with the little one at the pool, or in the hub grass by the castle.

I took my daughter this past April and she is three years old. She had a great time. She may not remember it, but she still talks about it, so maybe she will remember some… Who knows! We also took tons of pictures, so she's got those memories to look at. She didn't get on a whole lot of rides, but it was fine because some of the ones that she did get on, she was a little bit frightened by… Like the frozen ride, she liked it, but was a little bit nervous about the boat drop at the end. So she would've been scared on the bigger rides as well. It was my first time at Disney World, so for me it was completely worth it. We will take her again when she gets older.

Whenever you want. My mom took her 5 kids for the first time when the oldest was 13 years and the youngest was 3 months. My mom loved it and so did her kids. My son will be 16 months when we go for the first time. I'm excited!

It's really up to you! We'll be going this year for my daughters first Christmas. She'll be 7 months old 😊 no, she won't remember it but my husband and I will always have the photos and memories to look back on. I'm a mommy blogger and have a partnership with Disney. We get in for free so why not? lol well obviously be taking her many more time throughout her lifetime so she'll have her own memories at some point.
