Should I still be a bridesmaid? (Just found out I'm pregnant again and due just before the wedding)
So about a month ago, my sister-in-law gave me the honor of asking me to be one of her bridesmaids for her wedding on April 22, 2018! I happily accepted! However, we just found out we are pregnant with baby#2! Woohoo! Except the estimated due date is April 1, 2018. This being my second baby, I know the drill... however, that makes me even more nervous about my ability to actually be a helpful (contributing) bridesmaid for her special day. She has requested no children at the wedding (with the exception of our son who is the ring-bearer... but he was not invited to the reception, my parents were going to watch him after he did his duty as a ring-bearer). There are a ton of factors that I am freaking out about... 1. my recovery (with my son I had a vaginal birth but had two tears and hemorrhaging and was a useless blob for the first month after my son was born other than to love him and keep him alive... 2. breastfeeding (with being a bridesmaid I don't see how I could make this work without my baby being attached to me at the wedding, which would be no fun for the bridal party, and I'd be no help to the bride)... 3. My baby... I really don't want to expose my newborn baby to over 250+ guests... 4. My son, who will be about 18 months at the time of the wedding (although I think my husband can take care of handling him and his crazy toddlerness). 5. The dress... the ones the bride wants us to get are about $300 and I won't even know if I could fit into it or what size to order.... 6. Would I even be a helpful bridesmaid??? For the bridal shower (March 10th, I will be a giant hormonal whale about to pop.. and for he wedding, I'll be a sleep-deprived recovering new mama of two...
What do you ladies think I should do???
Still be a bridesmaid or bow out now so she can find a replacement? I just feel awful about it because I already agreed to it and she's my sister in law and I love her....
