so me and my boyfriend are finding a place to live together. One apartment we liked the lady told us we need to be married or else we can't live here.. 😕 Is it true then everywhere you need to be married ? or just apartments do that?

That's actually against the law. No one in the property management industry is allowed to discriminate possible tenants based on gender or marital status.

I've had a few apartments with my husband and we weren't married. To fill out an application together you need to be married otherwise he fills out the application under his name and puts you as someone who will be living with him or vice versa.

Some places do have those rules which I find stupid. My boyfriend and I are living together and the lease is in both our names, we both had to fill out an application and all that jazz. It all depends on the place :)
