I don't have herpes but just have a question. I know when someone gets a coldsore it comes back from stress, is that the same with genital herpes?

Yes but it's not unique to herpes. What's interesting is about 8% of our DNA is made up of viruses. Some ancient viruses are even part of it. Kinda cool if you think about it.
