Chemical free beauty brands?

Hi All, 
I'm in my first pregnancy and I'm not trying to be all crazy with going natural or stripping down my life, but it's hard to ignore all of the chemicals in our everyday products, including makeup, that can affect a developing baby. I'd just like to start using some brands that are less harmful and more natural for my baby and my peace of mind. Currently I use Clinique makeup, but does anyone have any beauty brands (lotions, makeup, shampoo etc) that they could recommend that are affordable?

honestly your best bet is to find all vegan brands or mineral makeup brands. I've worn make-up with all 4 of my pregnancies and my kids are fine.

Young Living has a new line of makeup. I also use their thieves and lemon essential oil to clean. I'm glad I switched the cleaning products I use, there are several studies that link cleaning products with autism but most important, when I mopped my toddler started playing on the floor, he loves water. The fact he can put his hands in his mouth after Playing with the floor puts me at ease. My son is 19 months and all the baby proofing we did went down the crapper, he can open things, unlock safety locks, even the washer and dryer's control lock. When you have a determined kid, everything is possible.  For cleaning tables, counters I normally just do water, peppermint, lemon, and citrus essential oils, so he can consume it without worry. For deep cleaning I use thieves and I add lemon EO.

Monat has a fabulous line of hair products that are all natural. Young Living just released Savvy make-up that is not only AWESOME but all natural. The downside is both are $$$$ (I guess you get what you pay for!) and both are direct sales companies, so you have to know someone to buy through instead of going to a store. My sister does Monat and I do Young Living if you want to know more. Good products, but I'm not sure you're going to find much for cheap. Oh! Also check Thrive market online. I think they have organic toiletries.

I love love love the mineral fusions brand. I have really sensitive skin and it's the only brand that doesn't make things worse for me. It is pricy though

You should download the app "Think Dirty" it shows you ratings on skin products even make up & which ones contain harmful chemicals and why not to use them by rating them 1 to 10 with 10 being the dirtiest.. it also has a scanner you can use to look up products you already have at home.. this app lead me to buying all shea moisture/ burts bees products for my baby
