To try or not to try ?

Question

So I have a question....
What do you guys consider ttc ? 
Is ttc just having sex or is it doing the extra things like opks? bbt ? Charting your periods ? 
What would you guys say is the first step to start ttc.

Mine is no more nursing so I can finally log this dang period and keep it consistent every month!  + leave sperm in rather than quickly washing it out, taking OPKs, and joing glow again 😂

My very first step was switching from regular multi vitamins to prenatal vitamins.  A couple of months after that I stopped taking my birth control. My first two cycles I fully relied on 2 different apps to tell me when I was ovulating- which ended up being way off as my cycle is much longer than it was when I was on Bc.  This is my third month and I've started using OPK and checking my CM.  Good thing too because Glow was telling me this was my most fertile week, but the tests and my CM are telling me otherwise 😞.  This month I also started adding maca root powder to my breakfast and drinking raspberry leaf tea.  Best of luck to you!

First step for me was figuring out when I ovulate, temping doesn't work for me, for months we were ttc based on my temps and it turns out I ovulate way later in my cycle than what my temps show. I had ovulation confirmed by ultrasound because I was starting to think I couldn't get pregnant. 
I definitely say get a physical and ur hormones checked out to make sure there aren't any deficiencies anywhere and definitely narrow down when your ovulation is happening. Once you have that down the stress of ttc, well for me at least, has calmed down A LOT.

I guess TTC for me means that you are actively trying to make a baby. Making sure that you're starting prenatals before you actually get pregnant, making sure you're charting, using OPK's, using sperm safe lubricants, etc. because all of that is going to play a big role in how long it takes you to get pregnant, and you may be able to discover irregularities in your period that you didn't know were there. I chart, because I have irregular period cycles, meaning they don't always end up on a 28 day cycle. And also I am over 30, so I did buy an OPK just in case. Good luck and baby dust!

My first step was to track my cycle and actually get to know it. It had been regulated by my bc so I thought I knew but I had no clue.  Also, know when you ovulate, that's a huge one because if you don't know when you ovulate then you don't know when to BD. This is our 2nd cycle TTC and so I went and got OPKs just so I know if the app is right or not. Typically you should ovulate 14 days BEFORE you're expecting your next period so I am pretty sure I know when I'm going to ovulate this month, but I would like to test anyways. Lastly, BD a day or two before you're supposed to ovulate, on ovulation day, and then 2-3 days after.  I wasn't sure of my ovulation last cycle so we just BD every day sometimes twice a day until glow said my fertile window was over and it ended up being wrong because my cycle was actually longer than I had expected.
