I was wondering if anyone has bought a pure bred german shepherd puppy and what was the price range you paid for it?

Yay for fur babies. I would suggest adopting a dog from a local shelter rather than purchasing a purebred. Check out the YouTube video "Adam Ruins Everything - Purebred Dogs" or documentaries on puppy mills or where dogs in pet stores come from. Good luck!

I got a mix at the shelter when he was a puppy. I also wanted a pure bred initially, but I'm so happy with our decision. We've had him for around 4 years and he's the best dog in the world ☺️💕

There are lots of German Shepherd rescue organizations looking for loving homes for their adoptable animals! We rescued a GSD from a local group in our state, it was $250.

My baby boy Jackson Nathaniel! He's 1 year now! 💙 he was 1,200 from a breeder! They are a handful as puppies! He was 85 pounds by 9 months old so very big with A LOT of energy! So we did a lot of reading classes and lots of exercise! But so worth it! We love him! 💙

I think my husband spent $600 on ours. He was originally priced at $1200 but the guy was military and had gotten new orders that required him to move a couple weeks later. So the puppies needed to go ASAP. My husbands best friend bought one as well. Great dogs! 😊

Purebred dogs of any breed will almost always be more expensive, especially if they have desired/champion bloodlines and papers. Whatever you decide,  please do your research on the breed AND the breeder! It's a good idea to visit the breeder(s) before purchasing to help ensure that they are reputable and not running a puppy mill, etc.

I paid roughly $500, I'm in the UK so not sure if that's a price you could expect there. He's 5 now and amazingly loyal. GS's have such a bad reputation here but they're all I've ever known and I'm glad my son will get to experience them the same way I did. The looks we get when I'm out with the two of them are just insane, people can't believe that my 2 year old can handle him on his lead but they truly are such great buddies 💕
