So, I take birth control (Loestrin 21 day pack) and didn't have a period for 5 months, I did have spotting but no actual periods. I take the birth control to help thin the lining of my uterus because I have endometriosis and it helps with my pain. However I've been having a very heavy period for 3 weeks now and it is just getting heavier and the blood is still very bright red (not the brownish like toward the end of cycles) I no longer have health insurance and can't afford the $375 dollars to go to the doctor. Has anyone else ever had a period last this long? I'm a bit concerned. Before I was on birth control I had my period every 2 weeks. But now that I've been on it over a year I never know when it's coming
