Safe to dye hair?

Has anyone here dyed their hair while pregnant? I'm 36 weeks and I want to color it before I give birth.

It doesn't need to be ammonia free. I'm a cosmetologist, and if you're doing it a salon, there's of course proper ventilation. But at home make sure you have good air flow ! I color my hair every 4-6 weeks & use permanent & Demi on my hair , one contains ammonia and the other doesn't. There's not really risk of anything in hair color hurting you by going through the skin, but the fumes may pose a risk , just like anything else :) I exercise the same precautions , pregnant or not!

Girl got to do your hair! I've been doing my hair entire pregnancy, only thing I do different is taking extra steps to stay away from fumes. I try to step outside

I think I depends on your idea of safe. Really u can do anything during pregnancy if u think it's "safe" I would advise to do as natural a fue like henna or something before ever considering the harsh chemicals especially the ammonia. But like I said everyone has their own ideas of "safe"

I had my hair colored in the second trimester of pregnancy and had it done again last week at 36 weeks. Baby is just fine!

You can dye your hair as long as it's ammonia free, I've dyed my hair around 6 times this pregnancy
