Hashimotos?

Question

Anyone have Hashimotos? My symptoms are unbearable: fatigue weight gain lack of concentration etc. but my thyroid levels are "normal". Anyone else on trial thyroid meds to see if it could possibly help?

I have hypothyroidism and signs that I have Hashimoto's but they haven't tested me for it. I do much better on thyroid meds. Without, my body starts shutting down and I get extremely depressed. It might take a little while to get it right, but it's worth it. I hope something helps you.

I had total thyroidectomy due to cancer, so my body runs on synthroid haha. I had to work with my endo for months after treatment to get my synthroid to the right dose. 
My endo told me to wait a month with a new dose before reporting any unusual symptoms related to hypo- or hyperthyroidism because it's hormones. It takes time for your body to readjust which is SUPER ANNOYING. However, I've had my current dose for almost a year now so I don't remember exactly. Maybe call your physician to see how long you should wait for your body to readjust. 
Your levels may be "normal", but they could also be higher on the normal range or lower. I would also say to call your physician and report symptoms and how bothersome they are. Medication probably needs to be adjusted. Maybe eat foods rich with iodine because good thyroid health requires iodine. I hope this helps!

I have hyperthyroidism? But it soon will convert to hashimotos.

I’ve dealt with this most of my life. I was diagnosed at 10 and I’m 37 now. I always test right in the middle of the range for “normal,” even tho I know it’s off because of symptoms. Ask your doctor to do a full thyroid panel for you and ask what your levels are so you know for yourself. I found a doctor that increased my synthroid eventually and it helped some. I know I’ll battle those symptoms for the rest of my life at least to some extent, but finding a good doctor who listens to you can make a big difference too. And like others have said, go see an endocrinologist as well; they are the specialists and may be able to help you more than a GP.

I have hashimoto’s. I am always tired and sleep alot and I gain weight so easily, I still have to go back to see if they have to up my dose on the Levothyroxin.

I'm not 100% sure about hashi's yet , but I do have high antithyroid antibodies if thats what you mean . How exactly do they diagnose you to have hashis if you have normal tsh?

I'm in the same boat. Please go and see an endocrinologist if you can.  I had doctors just look at me and say I have pcos and intact I am just anovlatory and a slightly low thyroid with t2 diabetes. The problem with blood work reference ranges are that they only pick up mid to late stages of diease and such. Please find a doctor the will listen to you!

I'm not on trial with medication yet, but I was diagnosed about 2 months ago. My  levels are considered normal as well. My physician - former now - didn't tell my anything for 8 months!!!   I completely understand how incredibly difficult the syptoms are! My biggest struggle is the anxiety I get from it.
