Would you rather have MFI or female factor infertility? Give me your reasoning

Which would you rather? Why?

I think (and could be wrong) that more can be done for female factor than male factor.

I'd rather have female factor infertility so I could be in control of our infertility journey. DH would rather sit back and "see how things go" which I don't blame him! But I think 15 months is enough time to "see how things go". Obviously ain't going well.

Women are sad about their infertility but most grieve and then move ahead looking for solutions with renewed vigor. Women also are more used to invasive medical procedures and seem to have better support networks with their family and friends. it seems more men take the news harder as an ego blow and do not move ahead to the problem solving stage. If they do move ahead to IVF, they struggle with having such personal discussions with their medical providers and are embarrassed. I also do not think MFI is something guys share with their buddies over beer at the bar so they are isolated.

We had male factor and I think it would have been a million times easier if it would have been me instead. There just weren't the options and knowledge for him that there is for females.  Plus some huge sticker shock on how much IVF costs.

It really depends, but I lean more toward female than male because some male factor infertility is genetic and causes them not to produce sperm cells that make the sperm. It also seems to hit a man's ego harder than a woman. If a woman can produce viable eggs and the man can produce sperm they can at least use a surrogate if the can afford it or the have someone willing to carry and deliver for them. It would at least be genetically theirs. If a man cannot produce sperm the only option is a donor.

There's very little research regarding MFI, as compared to the abundance of research for FFI. When it's MF, it's a guessing game or straight to the most expensive option, which is not an option at all for many couples.
