Pep smear

Hello folks🙋🏻

Is it necessary to go for pep smear in pregnancy? I am really very scared about it .pls share ur experiences of it !

It's really not that bad. Especially considering that we've all signed up to give birth and on the pain scale..the pap won't even touch that lol.

Thats how I found out I had abnormal cervical cells while I was pregnant. I still had them 6 weeks postpartum when my doctor rechecked. I had to have a cone section of my cervix cut out , as I had pre-cervical cancer.

It must depend where you live. I'm in Australia and you don't need to get one unless you're due for it (every 2 years) I was due for one but my doctor just waited until my 6 week postpartum check up to do it.

Hmm yeah they don't do that here.....funny how things are done differently in other countries!

I had it in February 2016 i told my doc but she told me that they will have to do it☹️

I had one with my first pregnancy, but I was also due for one. I had one in February this year and am 6w4d now so I think they'll skip it.

I had one just after I ovulated so I likely won't need it again but it is standard here I guess if it has been awhile.

It was fast but it doesn't feel very good lol and yes they usually make you get one if your pregnant.
