Breastfeeding?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and with my first I only lasted 2 months with mostly pumping, with my second I lasted 4 months but exclusively pumping and it was hell. This time I'm thinking I'm just not guna bother.

Sooooo I'm going to be the one to say this. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BREASTFEED!!!!! I tried SO HARD with my daughter and she just wouldn't latch. The guilt was so terrible from everyone telling me I HAD TO DO IT. But I didn't. It put me into such a hard postpartum depression as well. I cried while I tried to feed her and it was terrible. Eventually, I wasn't eating or sleeping and I tried pumping which was just as bad. FINALLY, my sister came up to me and said "You don't have to do this!" that's all I needed to hear and I broke down and cried. Me taking care of myself is just as important as me taking care of my child. She's now 99% in height in weight and super advanced in her motor skills. She started walking at 10 months old and we're now working on potty training at 2. But only because she wanted to do so. Not giving your child breakmilk is NOT going to dumb her down, make her small or big or whatever. Giving her formula is just as good now a days. THANK YOU SCIENCE. AND GOD!! So put down that pump if you want and give her that formula!!!! Have the hubby feed her and get SOME SLEEP!!! It will all be okay!! 👍👍👍

15.5 months and still going! I think every baby deserves breastmilk, those few months of breastmilk you gave your kids was so beneficial to them. I think you should atleast try every baby is different it might be easier for you this time 😊 good luck!

15 months going strong but my nipples hurt man ! Also if you want to do formula do it for your peace of mind mama ! Nothing wrong with it ❤️

With my first I only last 3weeksdue to lack on education and lack of support. With my second, I researched all throughout my pregnancy to make sure I knew everything I could and what to expect. We just passed 20months of breastfeeding August 12th. Currenrly 6weeks 1day with #3 and I plan to breastfeed until baby self weans💜. For those who do not know, kellymom.com is a great resource. Also, it really helps to join a breastfeeding support group. These are my two personal favorite groups for anyone who may be interested.

I'm not sure how I feel about breastfeeding, my SO is basically demanding I breastfeed our child. I'm okay with pumping & bottle feeding with breast milk only, he's not. He said I need to experience the bond.... maybe my mind will change as our baby grows more. But right now my boobs are so sore, putting on a shirt is painful.

I had a preemie last time and she ended up having a breastmilk intolerance and lost alot of weight and had to go on formula :( 
still has weight trouble now at nearly 2y.o

I had the same pattern with first two, but I was able to breastfeed my second one. I hated pumping. Ultimately, I gave up because I had to go back to work and couldn't imagine having to pump. With this one, I'm hoping I can breastfeed longer, but again it would involve pumping after the 4 month mark. I think I'll just cross that bridge when I get there. Ugh not looking forward to the hard ass engorged breasts!
