She got a tongue and lip tie clipped July 28th. I could feel her sucking eventually despite still having a shallow latch but yesterday out of the blue, she started chomping again. She's doing it again tonight. It feels like she's just gumming the milk out and not sucking at all.

Could this potentially mean she's not really hungry? She's 2 months old and a little over 12lbs. Pediatrician mentioned she may not need as many night feeds because of her weight so I'm wondering if she's nomming on my nipples because she's nursing out of habit instead of hunger. She only nurses for 3-5 minutes tops every feeding at night before falling asleep and staying asleep for another 3 hours or so.
