Sorry if this is in the wrong place! I'm so stressed out I can't think straight. I've never been a fan of my sister in law. She has never been nice and she's racist and closed minded. But I love her kids so I've tolerated her for 18 years. My brother was distant and then she cheated on him and kept dating the guy. My brother said we can go to counseling but you have to stop talking to the guy, and she refused, so they are getting a divorce. She will not stop talking negatively about him, claiming he had an emotional affair 3 years,etc. I believe her -- but it's my brother! I shouldn't be hearing all of this. It's to the point now where I feel awful just talking to her or getting a text from her... She had always said horrible things about my mom and now it's about my brother and I just can't deal. I asked her to please stop agree said okay but I know she's not going to stop. She's also angling to get money from me. So how do you cut the cord from a totally toxic person? Stop talking to her? Do I wait for her to start talking about my brother again and then bail? If I could choose to not know her anymore, I would be happy. :( But... How could I just do that? Thanks, ladies.
