Does it matter the time of day you test if you're truly pregnant?

I know everyone says to test in AM for higher levels of HCG to be in urine but just curious if it REALLY makes a difference the time of testing if someone is truly pregnant? Thoughts? Experiences?

I was a week late and I got two dark positives on a 2 hour hold at 5pm. it just depends on how much hcg you have in your system.

It only really matters if you are early and looking for a vfl. If you are far enough along to have already missed your period, chances are you will get a BFP regardless of when you take the test.

For me it has been kind of hit or miss.  On Saturday, (1 day late) I had a darker positive in the morning than the afternoon.  But, because I am a lunatic I tested today at around 3pm on a 2 hour urine hold and got my darkest positive yet!

Probably depends how long you have been pregnant, but yes higher concentrate in the morning. 
In the below the "lighter positive" (right) was the first test I took at 2pm. The "darker positive" (left) was taken the following day first thing in the morning.  I was already about 7 weeks along when I found this out, hence it is pretty obvious either way. But I still got a more firm positive from the morning pee.

it depends if you're trying to test too early I didn't find out until the day after my missed period, But it was like 3 in the afternoon and I already had like six water bottles and it was still really dark.

I think it depends on how far along you are. If you're still early the extra concentrated hormones could make a difference
