Gestational diabetes at 32 weeks?! Anyone in the same boat?

Alisa

In major need of moral support. I can't believe this is happening. Prior to pregnancy I was 108 and am now 140.. baby is measuring in the 50th percentile. So all good there. I am on a low carb diet for the past 8 years! So I skipped the sugar test because I never eat sugar. Instead I purchased a glucometer at the pharmacy and tested throughout the week. My fasting on average is 103 and 2 hours after eating is back to 103. My doc says my fasting is way over the 95 mark. I worried but also feel like it doesn't seem so high? Anyone have similar results or insight? I really don't want to take insulin and feel that it's too precautionary but at the same time I'm not an expert. HELP!
