DO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO FEEL UPSET?

Okay. So I am strongly considering adoption for my child. I can't do it alone on top of school, interning, and working. My child's father is incarcerated for hitting me, and I refuse to go back to that even when he gets out. It's just not the right timing. I found potential adoptive parents, and we've been talking for about a week. Today, I learned they googled both my child's father and I. I honestly feel so violated and like my privacy has been invaded. Do I have every right to feel like this or were they in the right? The adoption agency didn't tell them our last names, they just googled our first names and our towns. of course stuff about my child's father showed up because he's in jail. I'm feeling just all over the place with this.
