I know no one asked, and I know we are all tired of unwarranted advice but I have to tell you ladies. If your doctor is wanting to induce you but you are just barely overdue, or you're not dilated to at least a 1 or 2, just wait. Of course if you are having issues do what you need to save your baby and yourself but if you're both healthy just wait. I was one day overdue and was induced (for no medical reason) and this is such a long process and it's so unnecessary. I'm not even dilated past a two right now after three rounds of pills to help dilate me and two hours of pitocin. It's almost been 24 hours since I've been admitted. I'm exhausted, my body is so sore because I have been having contractions only a minute apart for 16 hours (before pitocin even started), but still no cervical progression. I know once I see my baby girl it will all be worth it, I was so excited to see her which is why I agreed to be induced, but I wish I would've waited just one more week.
