Is my infant 5 or 6 months old?

I know this is a dumb question but my son just turned 24 weeks I'm not sure whether to say he's 5 months or 6 months because he was born on mar 1. I was thinking to say 5 months until it reaches the first of next month to say he's 6

He's 5 1/2 months. You can figure out months really early just using birth date, like if birthday is March 1, every 1st of the month he's a month older.
