She's HOME 🏡
My sweet baby girl Natalie was born via repeat cesarean on Monday August 7, 2017 at 34+2 weighing 5lbs 4oz. We decided to deliver early due to a uterine dehiscence (window) from a previous uterine rupture. I had been having contractions on and off for a few weeks and my MFM was afraid of a full rupture. Natalie had some difficulty breathing in the first 24 hours (even after two rounds of betamethasone steroids). She was on a CPAP for 24 hours or so, and was able to wean to room air. She was jaundiced and received phototherapy, and even needed an NG tube for a few days. She passed her car seat test last night and was released after 9 days from the NICU today! I am so pleased to have her home and wanted to share.
