Have you started washing baby's clothes?

I dont know why but I just don't feel ready to take the tags off and wash my little guy's clothes. He's due November 1st but I'm paranoid about having to return them or something. I want to start packing for the hospital. When did you or when will you start to wash and pack your baby's bag?

I haven't bought any clothes but I have a ton I was generously given. I have washed and put away all the clothes. I know I'll probably have to reorganize once I have my baby shower and will be getting more clothes. 
I don't think it's worth taking back clothes, I'd rather pay it forward and give them to someone else.

I have washed them all yesterday... I'm high risk preterm labor and my last appointment didn't go very well (28 w)... so  I'm being nervous... 😣

I was ready to start washing everything... but then I read the advice of only washing a few items- I don't know why but I felt like a pregnancy light bulb 💡 went off at that moment! So I'm going to wash just a few newborn sizes of onesies and undershirts and a few size 0-3 of the same items. That way depending on the size and growth of baby we'll be ready for a few days either way. You're bound to have some help letting your spouse or family wash the rest once you see what size baby is. 💗

Just started washing baby clothes. It's probably still early but I feel overwhelmed with all that I have to wash...crib sheets, changing table mat, mattress protector, socks, mittens, baby hats, infant seat stuff, etc.

I have, but I haven't actually bought anything... a couple people gave me bags and bags and bags of stuff lol... all pretty much new with and without tags...

I'm first time mom, I don't know about that! Is it necessary to wash the new baby's clothes? And why? Your reply would be appreciated.

My baby girl has a ton of clothes already and I have washed everything so far. I still have three more baby showers to go and I'm expecting to receive a lot more clothing so most likely I will still have a ton of washing to do lol. I'm getting tired a lot faster now so I'm probably gonna have our housekeeper to start washing them now. As far as hospital bags, I haven't started packing them yet, I probably won't pack them for a few more weeks. My aunt told me that she's making a basket for me with travel size toiletry items (ONLY brands that she knows I use) and other items that are essential after childbirth for my babyshower. So most of those items will be put into my bag. My husband found a list online for stuff to pack for him and our baby girl. I'll probably start on the bags within the next few weeks.

I'm going to start washing all the bags of clothes I was given that did not have tags today. As for the rest I'll probably wait until after baby is born. My husband family is known for big babies. My husband was almost 10lbs and my brother in law was 11lbs. So they never worn anything newborn. So I'm iffy on washing any new newborn clothes. Where as a my daughter from a previous relationship was only 6lbs6oz. I have plenty of newborn and the next step up of clothes that did not have tags to wash and be ready for baby. I'll also have tons of help with my daughter being 10 who can help wash all other clothes after our baby boy arrives.

I am waiting for my baby shower when I get his dresser so I can wash, fold & organize them all at once so I'll be 32 weeks. Majority of the clothes I have were all given to me so no worry about not being able to return them.
