Should I lose hope this month ?

I have pcos and irregular periods which are always late but NEVER early. This month (aug10th) all of a sudden I got brown discharge which later turned into light pink discharge. The next day it turned heavy and bright red , then red. I had to change pads. I passed a clot ( but not a tissue) . The third day bleeding reduced but still red. Fourth day bleeding stopped and just light brown discharge and pink discharge alternatively. I know this is too much for implantation bleeding but I started having symptoms like frequent urination( like 15 times a day) , excessive saliva, sleeping all the time, increased appetite, skin suddenly cleared up, no acne but bright fresh skin , visible veins on breasts, arms and thighs. Today is the 7th day after the bleeding started. I took a hpt but it was bfn. Am I testing too early or is it just my af and I'm fooling myself ?
