Religious dress
This is gonna be a two part question.
So a controversial Australian senator, Pauline Hanson is 110% against Islam. She often speaks out against it, and once even said "Islam is a disease we need to vaccinate ourselves against". She's heavily in support of banning burqas from parliament.
Yesterday, in what I believe to be an extremely fucked up move, she wore a burqa to parliament, but eventually removed it because it "doesn't belong".
Question 1: do you believe it's wrong to wear religious garments if you're not part of that religion? For example, a burqa or hijab if you're not Muslim, or a yarmulke (not sure if this is the correct term) if you're not Jewish?
Question 2: is there a difference between non-christians wearing a cross or crucifix & a non-muslim wearing a hijab?
