Hardball talked about antifa last night

Jess

And they had two 'experts' help explain. Both panelists admitted to not know much about antifa, and jumped to conclusions, and as someone who considers herself antifa, it really bothered me.

It boiled down 'antifa are anti-fascists, and there's a few bad apples who punch people.' ANYBODY can be anti-fascist. But not all of them are antifa; with antifa, we tend to be anarchists and/or communists (I'm both).

Antifa will trash private property or smash windows if/when need be, but violence isn't our priority. We just recognize that sometimes YES, violence IS the answer. Nazis werent defeated in 1945 because of tv interviews and polite debates; the media needs to stop humanizing fascists, I'm tired of this being up for debate.

If nothing else, at least when we protest or cause trouble we're smart enough to cover our damn faces. And we don't mow down innocent people indiscriminately with our cars then zoom away like it's nothing.

Edit: also, some supporters they talked to used the word 'communist.' Idk about you guys, but I have a feeling we're gonna be hearing that word more and more soon enough.

Edit2: Also I just want to clarify that when I say I'm communist I mean 'from each according to ability, to each according to need' and 'workers unite'--not Stalinism. (I just think it's important to make that distinction)
