am i wrong for this?

so my son's birthday is in 9 days. and i posted to my facebook that i didnt want anyone to ask to hold him and that for future references dont ask to keep him at their house until he's 5 years or older... my family has been commenting like im the bad guy for my decisions..... am i wrong?

So your child is at least 1 years old and you won't let anyone hold him?

Yes, that's both weird and wrong, and I'll tell you why. Baby needs to socialize, it's important for mental development. Baby also should be exposed to other people for basic immunity. You aren't doing your child any favors.

No sleepovers until 5 isn't wrong, it's just highly over protective. My husband and I take a date night from our boys once a month starting when my third born had his first birthday. My kids are now 6, 4,5, and 18 months. They get 1 night a month with their grandparents which they love. I get one night alone with my husband to date him, love him, enjoy a shower and a meal without being interrupted or wolfing it down... and the food is hot! Imagine that...

I couldn't live like that. Your child isn't going to be socially coherent without basic exposure. Don't put your child behind and term him into a hermit. It's not healthy.

I mean I think the no holding thing is a little excessive (other than when theyre newborns and need to be kept away from germs) but as far as spending the night anywhere that's totally up to you, my son is 17 months and has spent 2 nights away from me and that's only because 1 night I woke up sick and I didn't want him to get it and the other time I had to take my husband to the er and I didn't want him around the germs. Both times he stayed at my moms.
