When to start trying get pregnant?

I want to get pregnant in November and my obgyn said not to take the IUD out until I am absolutely ready but my friends and husband say to take it out in September. Idk what to do is that too early? I haven't had problems in the past with conceiving but what if I do this time? Problem is I have a lot going on in October and a wedding I'm a bridesmaid for early November so I don't want to get preggo too soon. Help!

If your Iud is a hormone type then you should allow time for your body to 'detox' from those synthetic hormones before trying to conceive and also let your cycle normalize ovulation/period, so that you can track. I would get it removed asap and use condoms until ready to start actively TTC.

which IUD do you have?  if its a hormonal IUD, it could take a couple of months for your hormones to regulate and sustain a pregnancy. and picking the.month you want to conceive is a tricky thing. it doesnt always happen like that.   dont get your hopes up too high that you will conceive in november just because you want to.  i'm not saying it wont happen, i just dont want you to be crushed if it doesnt happen. it can take healthy couples (with no fertility issues) up to a year to conceive. i sincerely hope you are one of the lucky ones, just be prepared that it may take a few months.  good luck🤗🤗

I had the mirena taken out in November of 2016. It was my second time having it. I have two children, quick and easy conceptions. Since having the mirena taken out in November, we've been TTC with no luck whatsoever.

I would take it out now and just use protection until you're ready to try and conceive. I had my iud removed last December after 2.5 years and we have been actively trying to conceive ever since. I have 3 kids and didn't have any problems trying to conceive any them. I got the iud after having my third and had always been on the pill before that. I often wonder if the iud messed up my fertility. Every person is different though.

I'd take your OBs advice. It doesn't sound like you're in a rush, and like you don't want to be pregnant in October so may as well wait.
