Positive??

Question

I only ask this bc I went to my obgyn today for my annual Pap smear and they did a pregnancy test and it was negative... any way this is false. The only thing I can think was my urine wasn't as concentrated this morning could that be why?

First morning urine is the most concentrated. It's more likely that the pap caused a scratch and there was blood in your urine (even if it wasn't enough to cause spotting and wear a liner) when you took this test at home which can throw a false positive.

Update- took another this morning and not a trace of another line so I guess it was a false positive 😔

My advice would be to test again in the morning. If you get another positive, because that is a very clear positive reading haha, then go in and get bloodwork done for a definitive answer - although bloodwork would be a good option anyhow. I'm assuming they just did a urine pregnancy test at the office? - it could have easily been a faulty test or human error resulting in a false negative
