Blood work + First Appointment?

Question

Do I get my first initial blood work done before my first appointment with doc? Or do they do it together? Do I just go to the walk in clinic and tell them I am pregnant and then the bloodwork gets done from there?

Answer

With the office I go to you call in as soon as you get your bfp. Once you get to your first appointment you fill out your paperwork and have a dating scan to see what gestation you're at and to confirm the pregnancy. If they see that beautiful beating heart they do a vaginal exam, blood work, and go through more paper work while going over testing offered and guidelines of what you can and can't do during pregnancy.
It's a looooong appointment lol
