I personally think taking down these monuments won't erase history and it definitely won't stop racism. History is history. I personally say, leave the monuments alone. We as people need to do better by POC and other races and pulling down historical monuments won't do that. Being better people and not judging by stereotypes will make a change. Loving one another will make a change. Accepting people for who they are; race, religion, gender, will make a difference. History is my favorite subject so I love the history in things. But taking down these monuments won't rewrite history and it won't stop racists from being racist.
