Extra teeth anyone else have this problem?

I'm 17 and have a small mouth, well behind my permanent front teeth I have more teeth growing in, my wisdom teeth are also growing in too causing lots of pain. Anyways I was wondering if anybody has had a problem with extra teeth growing in and I was wondering if I went to a dentist would they remove them or what?

I'm a dental assistant. Go to your dentist and they'll take a panoramic X-ray to see what's going on, they'll check how they are growing, sometimes teeth that do belong in your mouth grow where they aren't supposed to and they need to either be removed, either be put where they belong with orthodontic treatment. As for your wisdom teeth, if they are erupted enough they can be removed. Your dentist can give you more information about that of course. I did when I was younger. Had to have 4 teeth pulled and then in adulthood had my wisdom teeth pulled for the extra room.

Crap I wish I'd had that problem! My ortho pulled some baby teeth, however I had no permanent teeth to fill the gaps there. So now I just have centers and canines which he then filed attempting to make it look normal. Doesn't. I have 3 different gaps. Years of braces and pain and I can't believe my parents paid for it and weren't involved in making sure they did a good job.

Yep and I don't actually have that many teeth. What I have is a very small jaw (thanks, mum!) with very large teeth (thank, dad!). lol On top of that, the enamel on my teeth is very weak and it chips off all the time. The one gigantic wisdom tooth I have, which is pretty much growing out of my cheek because it's so crowded in my mouth, just caused the tooth next to it to break. So, I now have 24 whole teeth in various stages of disrepair, including the wisdom tooth, and the corners remaining of two other teeth. I have no molars left on the bottom. lol My advice would be to see a dentist. Don't wait like I did. I need dentures and I'm only 36.
