Went in today for my first ultrasound and baby measured 9 weeks and 4 days! 180 heart rate. But then the doctor saw something that may have represented spinal fluid which could be a potential chromosomal defect. I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if there are any changes and what to do next If it's more apparent or bigger. She said it could be a fluke or a shadow but if it does not improve I will need to go to a perinatologist and have tests run. Anyone ever experience this? Please tell me there's a chance this could all just be an overreaction?
