Is the silent treatment emotional abuse?

Going on a full week now my SO hasn't spoken to me over a fight we had ,we live together and I just can't take the tension anymore our son feels it and it makes me so sad for him. I've tried speaking to him but he just won't ,I told him I was done and he didn't seem to care ..he's been coming home late at night everyday after work,tonight he just came home showered and took out LO with him ...idk what to do I feel horrible ...
