Is push gifts from ur husband still a thing??

Me: have you ever heard of a push gift?
Husband: no what is that?! *almost laughing*
Me: okay sounds like you could guess because you're smiling like that
Husband: I feel like I might but I need to hear this from your mouth. *laughing at this point*
Me: it's when the dad gets the mom a gift for having the baby
Husband: *full blown laughter* this is the first I'm hearing this!
Me: not me! 
Husband: okay well I've never heard of this in my life. Why do you want a gift anyway you buy whatever you want.
Me: it's thoughtful of you do it.
Husband: DID ONE OF THE GIRLS FROM YOUR APP MAKE THIS UP?
Me: *dying inside 😂💀* No! I've heard about it before but someone from the app reminded me 🙄! 
Now he's laughing at me lmaoooo 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I never heard of this until my pregnancy last year. 😂 Isn't the baby the gift? I've seen some women throwing fits cause their partners didn't buy them cars or jewelry or expensive purses. Just seems silly. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think push gifts are silly. My gift is my child. The best "gift" any dad can give a new mommy are some naps those first few days!

I think it's a tad obnoxious to expect a gift for giving birth. I jokingly asked my husband last night (almost 24 hours after I had our son) what my gift was and he gave me a big kiss and said here you go! The baby is my gift and I'm perfectly content with that!

Yes it is still a thing and I have pressured my husband to do it. Nothing fancy but I think thoughtful  gifts are an important part of keeping the romance and relationship alive. I am also putting a first time dad gift together for my husband so he feels special too.

i never heard of this. but I couldn't ask for a gift just because I pushed out our kid..maybe a nice coffee and later a steak and I'd be happy with that. definitely not an expensive car,purse, shoes...I'm simple.

Yes! at least I was able  to convince  my husband  😀 I NEEDED  pearl earrings as a push gift, to match my daughter's  earrings.

I asked for a robotic vacuum 😂. Obviously I think the baby is a gift itself but you do a lot of hard work while your husband sits and watches. That deserves a damn gift!!
