Sleep training/crib transition

Elizabeth

Last night was first night. I was bedsharing and me and husband decided it was time since he was coming out of his sleep regression. It was rough, but we did it. I had a harder time falling asleep than my LO did lol...but he slept better than I expected in crib.

And today is the first day of naps in crib as well, so far so good (first nap of the day rn) I used to have to lay with him in bed to get him to nap longer than 15-20 min, but he's been asleep for an hour now!

Parenting is hard, and not for the reasons I thought it would be. It's hard to hear him cry, and it's probably the hardest to know he's learning to self soothe even though it's what's best. It makes me feel like he's really growing up and (being extreme here lol) that soon he won't need me anymore. I know the days of him being little are not going to last forever, and I love cuddling him so much. So this isn't for me to get better sleep, as I did not, its to help him get more sleep and learn how to sleep on his own as I know it's what's best.

Couple pictures of my little goob cause he's such a cutie 😍
